Few journeys are as rewarding as the path of transforming raw land into vibrant neighborhoods and designing homes that serve as foundations for generations to come.  For more than five decades, I have dedicated my career to real estate and development in the Carolinas. My journey began in 1974 when I started selling farmland alongside my father, who served as my earliest and greatest advisor. From those early beginnings, my passion for property design and development led me into building single-family homes, and by the mid-1970s, I had earned my General Contractor’s license.

Since then, I have expanded my work across land development, new home construction, project management, and real estate brokerage services, serving clients throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. Over the years, I have built and managed rental communities, commercial real estate, single-family homes, and multi-family residences. Through multiple housing cycles and changing administrations, I’ve successfully navigated industry challenges—emerging stronger and continuing to grow. I have developed hundreds of communities and thousands of homes. 

A Focus on Active Adult & 50+ Communities

As the real estate market evolved, I saw a growing need for quality housing that meets the lifestyle and desires of active adults. To serve this need, I expanded my focus to developing and building 55+ new homes and active adult communities in North Carolina and South Carolina—creating residences designed for comfort, accessibility, and modern living. Helping families downsize into homes that better fit their stage of life has become one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

Today, my companies are actively involved in new community developments across the Carolinas. At Magnolia Plantation, we are working to complete a community project of new homes for all ages and lifestyles, as well as specialized options for the over-50 community. We are also in the development stages of a new condominium project in Shelby, NC, which fills a great need in our community. In addition, we are currently developing multiple new home communities throughout North Carolina and South Carolina that continue to support and grow our vision of providing homes for families and active adults alike.

Moving Forward

With more than 50 years of experience in North Carolina and South Carolina real estate sales, development, and new home construction, I remain passionate about helping families—whether they are building their next home, downsizing, or settling into their forever home. My vision is to continue creating active adult and 55+ communities across the Carolinas, ensuring every homeowner feels proud to call their house a home.

Personal Background

I was born in North Carolina and raised in Long Island, New York, where much of my family still resides. My daughter and her husband live on the North Carolina coast with two of my grandchildren, while my son and his wife reside in Hickory, NC, with three of my grandchildren.

Community Involvement

My office is located in the Leona Neal Senior Center in Shelby, NC, where I proudly support and sponsor community programs. This location allows me to stay connected with the community I serve and remain accessible to those seeking my expertise in 55+ housing, new home construction, and Carolina real estate services.

Interests & Passions

Beyond real estate, I have a strong passion for aviation, which I’ve been able to integrate into my business model over the years. I also enjoy golf, boating, and traveling whenever possible. A lifelong baseball fan, I proudly support both the Atlanta Braves (representing my years in the Carolinas) and the New York Mets (my New York favorite).
